Talk to someone who fixes these for a living.
Slow computer, pop-ups you can't close, email that stopped working, a printer that's decided to hate you. Call me and we'll work through it together โ most of it gets sorted in one conversation.
Things I sort out regularly
All of this happens on the phone โ no appointment, no waiting for someone to drive over.
Slow, freezing, or noisy
Too much starting up with Windows, a drive that's nearly full, or one that's on its way out. I can usually tell which one it is within a few minutes.
Pop-ups and virus warnings
Including the scary full-screen ones. If you're staring at one right now: don't call the number on the screen โ that's the scam.
Email and passwords
Can't send, can't log in, folders gone missing, Outlook behaving strangely.
Printers and scanners
The least reliable objects ever made. Most of their problems are software, and most of those are fixable remotely.
Wi-Fi and internet
Dropouts, dead spots, a router that needs a proper restart rather than someone unplugging it for three seconds.
Before you lose anything
If files have gone missing, the most important thing is stopping new data from overwriting them. Call me before you try recovery software.
Being straight with you
So there are no surprises on either side of the phone call.
What I don't do right now
I don't do drop-offs or pickups, and I don't sell Starlink. Everything starts with a phone call. If your problem genuinely needs hands on the hardware, I'll say so and point you somewhere useful.
What I won't ask for
Your bank details, or any password you'd rather not share. If someone cold-calls you and asks for remote access, hang up โ that's not me.
What it costs
You get a flat price once I understand the problem, and you approve it before any work begins. No hourly clock running in the background.
Questions
Is remote access safe?
You approve the session, you watch everything happen on your own screen, and you can disconnect at any moment. Nothing is installed on your machine without you seeing it happen.
Do you come out to my house?
Mostly no. Support is by phone and remote session, which covers almost everything. If a job truly needs hands on the machine and you're local โ Panama City and around Bay County โ an on-site visit can be arranged, priced on the call. It keeps the price down and it covers the overwhelming majority of problems.
How much does it cost?
I'll give you a flat price on the phone once I know what's actually wrong, and nothing starts until you say go.
What if you can't fix it?
I'll tell you. If it's a hardware fault or something outside what I can do remotely, I'll say so plainly rather than billing you for trying.
Got a website as well?
Most people who call me about a computer also have a website nobody looks after.
