A good website.
A real person on the phone.
I build websites by hand for local businesses — $150 if your words and photos are ready, quoted flat if I'm doing the writing — and I fix computer problems over the phone. No hourly billing, no subscription you can't escape, no talking over your head.
That little sky is live. It works out roughly where you are and draws the weather outside your window right now — sun, cloud, rain, storm or stars — and on a rainy day the whole page background rains with it. Every app on the example apps page is built the same way: from code I wrote myself. No plugin, no app-store embed, nothing extra per month.
It's a small example of the difference. See the rest of it →
Four things, done properly
I'd rather be good at a few things than average at ten — and I'd rather tell you what each one really costs.
Websites — $150 basic, up from there
$150 flat when you supply the words and photos and one simple page is enough. Need more than basic? The price goes up with what you want — call and I'll put one flat number in writing. Anything I write or hand-code is quoted as one flat price. Domain, hosting and files stay in your name — no lock-in, no rent.
Packages & prices →Tech help by phone
Slow computer, pop-ups, printer, email, Wi-Fi. Call me and we'll work through it together — most things get sorted in one conversation.
How support works →Care plan — $29/month
Backups, uptime and SSL monitoring, security updates, two content changes a month and a plain-English report. Optional, no contract, cancel any month — including on a site I didn't build.
What it covers →Web apps, Python & AI
The part templates can't do: booking tools, quote calculators, dashboards, Python scripts that kill a repetitive job, and AI helpers that answer your visitors honestly. Quoted per project.
See working demos →Straight pricing
No hourly rate, and no "it depends" without a number attached. You hear the price before I start, in writing.
Wondering how that compares with a "$100 for 5 pages" website builder? Run the true-cost calculator — it works out the three-year total, your time, and what you own at the end. It's fair to the builders, because I'd rather you decide with the maths than with a sales pitch.
Don't take my word for it
Three things on this site were written for it, not bought for it. Use them.
Live tools you can use now
An "are we open?" sign that knows the time, an estimate writer that prints a proper document, and real Python automation running in your browser.
Open the Labs →A health check that runs itself
Press a button and it tests every page on this site, times each response and reports the result — a miniature version of what care plan customers get monthly.
Run the check →The honest cost calculator
Put in what a builder quoted you and what your hours are worth. It'll tell you the three-year total — even when the answer isn't in my favour.

Questions people ask
How much is a website?
$150 flat when it's a simple site and you already have the words and photos to put on it — that price is real and I honour it. If I'm writing your copy, sorting photos, building several pages or coding a custom feature, it's a quoted job instead: one flat number, in writing, before I start. Full packages here.
Do I have to pay you every month?
No. The $29 a month care plan is optional and there's no contract — cancel it any month and your site carries on working, because it's yours. It's for people who'd rather never think about backups, certificates, updates and out-of-date content again. What it covers.
Why not use a $100 website builder?
Sometimes you should, and I'll say so. The difference is that a builder's $100 is usually the first year of a subscription and you rent the result; mine is a one-time price and you own the files. There's a calculator and a side-by-side comparison that's fair to them — run your own numbers.
Can you build something a template can't do?
That's the interesting work: booking tools, quote calculators, customer dashboards, Python scripts that sort your files or build your reports, and connections between tools that don't talk to each other. Working examples are here, quoted per project.
Do you come to my house or office?
Most jobs are handled by phone and secure remote session — it keeps the cost down and it solves the large majority of computer problems. If it genuinely can't be fixed remotely and you're local (Panama City and around Bay County), I'll come to the machine by arrangement — on-site work is priced on the call.
Do I own my website?
Yes. The domain, the hosting account and the site files are all in your name. There's no contract and no lock-in — if you ever want to move it somewhere else, you can.
What does it cost to keep a site running?
Usually just the domain, around $10–15 a year, at my cost with no markup. Hosting is free on Cloudflare Pages, in your own account. If yours ever needs a paid plan, I'll tell you before it happens, not after. Add the $29 care plan if you want somebody else to own the upkeep.
How do I pay?
We agree on the price first. When the work is done you can pay by cash, card, or PayPal — whatever's easiest for you.
I already have a website. Can you fix it?
Usually, yes. Send me the link or give me a call and I'll tell you honestly whether it's worth fixing or starting fresh.
Not sure what you need?
Start with a phone call. If it's something I can't help with, I'll tell you that too.
